Chris Hopmans, a farmer from Woensdrecht, owns 10 hectares of land near Rilland, where a solar park will be built with a total of 39,168 panels. Hopmans leases the land to Unisun Energy, the company realizing the park, of which André Kempenaars is general manager.

The laying of cables and structures started in mid-2018. Around 50 people have been installing approximately 2000 solar panels each day since the start of the build.

Approximately 8000 of the nearly 40,000 solar panels are now installed. At the end of this year, a quarter of the park will already be connected to the network, the rest of the park will follow in mid-January. The solar park will soon have a capacity of 11.75 megawatt peak.
